Wasanbon is a special kind of hand-made Japanese sugar often used for traditional sweets. It is finer, more fragrant and more expensive than normal sugar. It is a specialty of Kagawa Prefecture on the island of Shikoku. Baikodo has been making Wasanbon for over 50 years.
